Bede’s claim girls U18 Sevens title in ISFA National Tournament

Sunday 8 October saw Bede’s girls football team in the ISFA National Seven-A-Side Tournament held at Charterhouse. A total of 16 teams competed in the U18s tournament which consisted of seven-a-side matches in four groups.

Having fought through the group stages with convincing wins of 5-0, 3-1 and 6-0, Bede’s qualified for the knockout stages and went on to claim victories in both the quarter-finals and semi-finals, securing their place in the final.

The eventful final saw Bede’s and Kings College Taunton, battle it out for the title. Both teams produced some exceptional football that saw Bede’s 1-0 down at half time.

Undeterred, the team came out strong in the second half, and soon equalized through excellent driving plays made by Leilanni Nesbeth and Leila Emmerson.   Infectious energy and determination saw a flurry of second half goals, and Bede’s claimed the title with a 3-1 victory.
