Chichester College leads the way with new hubOctober 12, 2016
Chichester College has welcomed the opening of a new AAT Hub at its campus – one of the first of its kind in the UK.
The hub, based at the college’s Chichester campus, features a suite of rooms dedicated to provision for AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) courses.
It has been built to meet a growing demand for accounting technicians by local employers across the region.
The hub was unveiled and officially opened on Thursday (6 October) by Kelly Huntington, Regional Account Manager for AAT.
Shelagh Legrave OBE, Principal at Chichester College, said “We are delighted to be one of the first colleges in the country to have a dedicated AAT hub.
“As a college, we are constantly looking to ensure our students receive the best education possible – and that includes meeting, and exceeding, industry standards in all areas.
“We believe this new facility will help us to achieve that goal.”
The college is currently running a full complement of courses introductory to professional qualifications, with daytime and evening classes.
Kelly Huntington added: “This is a landmark moment for AAT, and will undoubtedly strengthen our existing ties with Chichester College.
“We are sure that the AAT Hub will prove a highly successful resource for students, and we applaud the college on their pioneering approach to student learning.”
The hub opening was followed by a graduation ceremony, celebrating the achievements of 22 graduates studying various subjects at the college’s business school including AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting, CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Management and CIM Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing.
