Christ’s Hospital musicians at Arundel Castle for charity fundraiser

March 23, 2017

Friday, 17 March will see a major charity fundraising event at Arundel Castle ‘Celebrating Sussex Childhood’. Musicians from Christ’s Hospital’s famous Band have been invited to perform.

In aid of Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice, young people’s charity Winston’s Wish and also supporting Home-Start Arun, the event will be held in the Baron’s Hall and is hosted by Mark Spofforth OBE, High Sheriff of West Sussex, in the presence of Their Graces the Duke and Duchess of Norfolk and Henry, Earl of Arundel.

Arundel Castle will add to the Band’s impressive record of engagements. Last summer, 40 members of the Band performed for the Patron’s Lunch in The Mall. The full Band of 120 musicians take part each year in the Lord Mayor’s Show, it also accompanies the School on its annual parade through the City of London in September and performs regularly for the MCC at Lord’s where it entertains the crowd.

The 40 young musicians from CH are very much looking forward to performing for the 250 guests in support of three important Sussex children’s charities.
