A clean sweep for Farlington riders at Sands Farm

December 8, 2016

Recently, five fearless Farlington riders travelled to the National Schools Equestrian Association Regional Championships where they competed against other schools from London and the South East.

Georgia Stephens (Year 5), Florence McKenzie, Roseanna Savage, Lucy Bugler (Year 7) and Lucy Pocock (Year 8) took part in the 60cm, 70cm and 75cm classes in which up to 60 riders competed.

There was a great team spirit throughout a long, cold day, which helped all the girls and their ponies jump brilliantly.

Farlington claimed the team 60cm and 70cm titles and Lucy Bugler was placed 1st, Roseanna Savage 2nd and Florence McKenzie 3rd in the individual 75cm class.

In addition, Georgia Stephens took 2nd place and Lucy Pocock, 3rd place, in the individual 70cm class.

Well done to everyone involved and thanks to Marion White, equestrian team manager, and Ella Heron, riding team captain, for their support and organisation.
