Farlington marching through MarchFebruary 22, 2017
Farlington School’s Teresa Stonestreet is ‘walking all over cancer’ again this March to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Last year she exceeded her fundraising target of £1000 and hopes to do the same this year. She will be walking a minimum of 10,000 steps everyday, the equivalent of 150 miles. During her lunch break and after school, she is walking around Farlington’s grounds to ensure she reaches her daily target.
Horsham resident Teresa has been motivated to support this charity following the loss of her great-niece two years ago, who died of cancer at the age of seven.
“It is a lovely time of year to get outside to walk after the winter months. I work in beautiful countryside which makes my walks very enjoyable and at weekends I go to the beach. Everyone was very supportive last year, so I feel confident I will exceed £1000 for this worthwhile cause,” said Teresa.
