Hurst College’s Prep School choir PopRock performed at the charity concert Indigofest, held at the Capital Theatre, Horsham on 19 January, in aid of The Nkuringo Foundation Music School in Uganda and Manor Green College in Crawley.

PopRock performed alongside a live streamed video featuring students from the Nkuringo School in Uganda, with both groups singing and rapping the song Pathway together.

Comedian Tim Vine who hosted the event, described PopRock’s performance as the highlight of the night. Hurst’s resident Year 8 band Reverb also performed in the concert and their contribution was very well received by the audience.

“It was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to perform alongside famous musicians on stage in a theatre setting and one which they will always remember. They had a wonderful time singing their hearts out for this worthy cause”, said Claudette Hastilow, Head of Music, Hurst Prep School
