Staff from Plumpton College are hosting an information event at the Burgess Hill branch of Waitrose on Wednesday 3rd August, from 12 to 2pm. Customers and store visitors will be offered free personal advice on the wide range of land based college courses, apprenticeships and employer training.
Customers at the Waitrose store will be able to discover all courses, including part time courses which take place during the morning, afternoon, evening, at the weekend and throughout the year. These learning opportunities are flexibly designed to cater for all lifestyles, to help widen skills bases and enhance careers.
Part time courses at Plumpton College attract over 3,000 learners, enrolling on nearly 500 different courses every year, each learner benefitting from a friendly learning environment, with many learners returning for the second and third time. They help anyone looking to pursue a professional qualification to help in careers at work or for promotion or to anyone who simply wants to further a personal interest, find new friends and learn something completely new.
Plumpton College students benefit from specialist study facilities, industry trained staff, bursaries and subsidised transport across Sussex. Following the recent Sussex Area Based Review, supporting the College’s strategy to remain an independent and specialist land based provider of further and higher education, Plumpton College is beginning its next phase of ambitious growth and quality enhancement. Our exciting range of part time courses for September across our centres in East Sussex include floristry, countryside practical skills, RHS courses in horticulture, cycle maintenance, pig handling, welding, large animal rescue training, tractor driving, keeping laying hens at home, the new 8 week tree surgery course and principles of winemaking.”
