Two girls’ cricket competitions won in two days

The U15 girls’ cricket team at Hurst College has recently won two indoor cricket tournaments in two days, and are through to the final of the Lady Taverners competition.

In the Bede’s Bash Indoor Cricket Tournament, Hurst played Brighton College and Bede’s and won both games, with excellent performances in bat and in the field.

On the following day, the same team continued their good form by winning the Lady Taverners Indoor Cricket Competition hosted by Hurst College.

The three-way competition between Burgess Hill Academy, Downlands Community College and Hurst College was tough. With each school winning one game each, the result was decided by the run rate.

Hurst came out top, having beaten Burgess Hill Academy by nine runs. Hurst go through to the final in March.
