Year 7 settle into Downlands

September 29, 2017

If you go down to the woods today… you will probably find one of our new Year 7 tutor groups discovering the fun and excitement of the woods in the corner of the school grounds.

Nestled at the foot of the South Downs the school grounds are extensive and a quiet corner of the woods is easy to find.

Together with Forest Schools expert Mr Stokes each year 7 tutor group has, over the last week or so, spent the day in the woods getting to know each other and taking part in awesome activities from building a fire, making woodland creatures out of clay, toasting marshmallows over the fire to gathering fire wood.

But it wasn’t just the younger students taking part – the Year 11 prefects were helping Mr Stokes along with the form tutors and teaching assistants.
