Bede’s EAL pupils enjoy a trip to Brighton Theatre RoyalNovember 14, 2018
Pupils from the EAL (English as an Additional Language) Department at Bede’s Senior School in Upper Dicker travelled to Brighton’s Theatre Royal last month to see ‘Rain Man’.
The trip was an opportunity for the pupils to practice their English and learn more about mental health.
Smaranda Lupu, Year 14 pupil at Bede’s, attended the trip. She says, “I was impressed by Mathew Horne and Ed Speleers’ performances and the way the producer, Dan Gordon, retold the Oscar-winning film and transported us around America.
“The week before the trip was Mental Health week, and after watching this phenomenal play we acknowledged the understanding and hard work you need to put in taking care of a person suffering from a mental illness.”
