Bede’s hosts glittering Cabaret event

Bede’s Senior School in Upper Dicker once again hosted its much-anticipated Cabaret event last week, welcoming close to 1,000 guests – including parents, staff, alumni and members of the local community – on Friday (December 6) and Saturday (December 7).

With a cast and crew of well over 100 pupils showcasing their extraordinary talents on stage and behind the scenes, this year’s production exceeded even the highest expectations.

The school’s Multi-Purpose Hall was once again transformed into a glittering dinner-and-dance concert venue, this year with a Winter Wonderland theme to complement the festive set list. Audiences were treated to a range of music and dance performances covering a range of genres from musical theatre and pop to jazz and orchestral.

Mr Robert Scamardella, Director of Music at Bede’s, said: “All three concerts were an absolute joy to watch, and everyone could not help but join in with the singing and dancing towards the end!

“A huge thank you must go to all involved in making the event such a success, most importantly to our talented pupils, whose hard work in rehearsals and professionalism throughout each performance cannot be faulted. Many congratulations to all.”
