The Bede’s Prep’s U13 Girls Cricket team travelled to Poynings Cricket Club for the Final of the Sussex Schools Cricket Championships against Tanbridge House.

Bede’s won the match with an impressive score of 58-4 (compared with Tanbridge House’s 46-3), and were declared the tournament champions for 2018.

The final rounded off a successful season for the U13 Bede’s Prep cricketers, who also played against Ratton, Claremont, Roedean, Bexhill College, Brighton College and Downlands in the tournament.

Petch Lenham, Head of Hockey at Bede’s Prep, says: “We are incredibly proud of our girls, who have played consistently well throughout the season while displaying a fantastic attitude, and fully deserve the title of Sussex Champions. I can’t wait to see what the girls achieve in training and on the pitch over the next school year.”
