Upper Fifth pupil Jack Siggs from Bede’s Senior School in Upper Dicker has been awarded Eastbourne’s Young Chef of the Year.
Jack, who is a regular contender in the school House cooking competitions, won first place with his dish of herb-crusted chicken, fondant potatoes, roasted veg with a pesto sauce, and was praised by judges for his attention to detail and flair.
Mary Leggett at Bede’s Senior School says, “We are incredibly proud of Jack’s achievement. To demonstrate this level of cookery skill at such a young age is fantastic, and we look forward to seeing what he cooks next!”
